The "Golden Full Moon Maple" is highly regarded for its beautifully shaped and colored leaves. It is a slow-growing, small garden tree with yellow-green leaves throughout the summer, which turn a refreshing orange-red in fall. The foliage is suboricular, 11-13 lobed, and acuminate. 'Aureum' is a brigh splash of color in any garden. To avoid burning or negative effects on the coloring, this Maple should be planted in partial shade. 'Aureum' can be expected to grow from five to eight feet tall in a ten year period, averaging between six and ten inches of annual growth.
